At Ready4Life, your internship is a co-created experience, not a pre-packaged program. You bring your own perspective and cultural lens, which is why we don’t assign fixed placements upfront—this prevents disappointments and ensures a better fit. We begin by listening to the real needs of the communities we work with and matching them to your professional skills and expertise.

When you arrive in South Africa, you’ll be placed in a project, school, or organisation, but this placement may change as we visit the site together. Only when both you and the host agree does the placement become final. Hosts usually have more requests than we have students, so there’s always a place for you. Rather than receiving a complete folder of instructions from start to finish, you co-design your internship plan on the ground, making this experience very different from a typical internship in your home country.
